RANGE RULES
1.
Range use is permitted to members and their spouses or children under 21
years of age that are currently living at home. As a courtesy, sworn
police officers are permitted to fire their DUTY WEAPONS
only. ABSOLUTELY NO GUESTS.
2.
No alcohol, drugs, or other mind altering substances before or during
range time.
3. Eye and
ear protection must be used at all times.
4.
Safety and responsibility is your #1 concern at all times. One unsafe act
could ruin range use for all members.
5.
Shooting hours are from 9am to dusk (Monday-Saturday), and 12:30pm to dusk
(Sundays). Range hours, reduced shooting distances, and range closure may
take place due to hall rentals and special clubhouse events. Check your
monthly newsletter for details.
6.
Sign in and out each and every time you use the range.
7.
72 YARDS IS THE MAXIMUM SHOOTING DISTANCE. NO EXCEPTIONS!
8.
NO SHOT SHELLS on range. Slug guns no closer than 25 yards.
9.
No automatic firearms of any type.
10.
Absolutely NO RAPID FIRE! Allow at least one
second between shots. This is a courtesy to our neighbors, and for safety.
For example: shoot, one one thousand, shoot.
11.
No armor piercing, incendiary, or explosive ammunition of any kind allowed
on the range.
12. No
thrown targets, steel spinners, cans, or glass. PAPER TARGETS ONLY!
13.
Targets must be placed on the backstop, away from upright steel framework,
and below cross support braces. Cross support boards are expensive, DO
NOT shoot through them!!
14.
When sighting in any firearm, start at 25 yards then work your way back.
15.
It is your responsibility to clean up after yourself. This means paper
targets, brass, shot shells, and your trash. Separate receptacles are
available for brass and shot shells.
These
range rules must be followed at all times!!!
Failure
to follow these rules will result in the loss of your range
privileges!
